What Is a Dermal Filler?
Dermal fillers are gel-based, injectable formulations (most commonly hyaluronic acid) placed beneath the skin’s surface to replenish lost volume, fill lines, and support structure. Over time, skin loses collagen, fat and fullness, fillers help counteract that by lifting, smoothing and rehydrating. In addition to shaping, many fillers stimulate collagen and improve skin texture and tone internally.
